Taller ingles 4º eso. Homework

*Work on the pronunciation of these texts:

-Overcoming the seemingly impossible, as double-leg amputee Chen Zhou reaches the peak of the Jianmen Pass in southwest China.
The 31-year-old, who lost his legs after falling from a train when he was 13, scaled the 2,000 metre-long mountain path using weighted blocks, chains and the support of onlookers.
It took Chen just four hours to reach the peak, where his wife was waiting to congratulate him.
And this isn't a first for the intrepid climber. He's topped China's five sacred mountains, making him the first person to do so with just the support of his hands.

-Burger King Japan has shocked customers around the world by introducing its latest product. Yes, it is a burger but this one is completely black.
The crazy concept was a big hit on the internet even before the burgers went on sale and now customers in Japan are actually able to go out and buy them.
The black burger features two buns with bamboo charcoal powder mixed in to give it that charred look. The beef was darkened with black pepper as well as the black cheese. And that weird-looking black sauce is actually barbecue sauce with squid ink.
So what does it taste like? Well one happy eater said it would go well with rice!
“It looked like a normal burger but when I bit into it, it tasted charcoal-grilled and felt like I was eating Japanese barbecued beef. I even thought it would go well with rice!”
But this isn't the first time Burger King has pulled this stunt, as the company sold its first black burgers in Japan back in 2012.

EXTREME IRONING
Can an ordinary activity like ironing be considered an extreme sport? It sounds unlikely but when an Englishman, Phil Shaw, created a new sport calle Extreme Ironing, the idea quickly caught on.
Ordinary ironing becomes an extrem sport when the places where people do it are dangerous. Devotees of Extreme Ironing are constantly searching for bizarre spots, such as mountain tops or in the middle of busy streets. Extreme ironers are sometimes too enthusiastic and some participants have been injured while they were ironing. One ironer had to have medical treatment after unsuccesfully trying to iron on a surfboard inside a car.
Interest in Extreme Ironing has spread far beyond Britain. In the first world championship, which took place in 2002, participants came from countries as far as Chile. In the same year, a Swiss man set a record by ironing 4,100 metres up in the Alps.
One of the most ambitious ironing attempts was made by two British men, John Roberts and Ben Gibbons, who set out to breat the Swiss man's record. They walked 300 kilometres in 17 days to the foot of Mount Everest, where they joined 35 groups of mountaineers waiting their turn to climb the treacherous mountain. Roberts and Gibbons ironed their national flag, the Union Jack, on a mountain slope 5,440 metres above sea level.
Who knows what other places devotees of Extreme Ironing will find to do their ironing? One thing is for certain; ironing will continue to be done in places most of us would never dream of. Whether we admire their daring feats or criticise their foolishness is a matter of opinion.

MARRIAGE TRAINING IN SAUDI ARABIA
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Social Affairs is seriously considering making pre-marriage courses compulsory for couples. They hope this will cut the Kingdom's growing divorce rate, especially among young people
The idea is to force prospective couples to attend courses on the art of married life. Run by charities, classes will look at the legal aspects of marriage, the rights of the husband and wife and their duties to their children, as well as how to deal with both sides' families. It's not explicitly stated whether sex education is included but some believe it's badly needed in a society where any discussion of sex is a taboo.
They also hope marriage classes will reduce Saudi Arabia's rising number of divorces - almost half of which take place in the early years of marriage. Clear figures are hard to come by but one academic has suggested the divorce rate is as high as sixty percent; others say half that figure.
In practice, divorce often hits women hardest because it's almost impossible for a divorced Saudi woman to remarry. One Saudi university study that looked into marriages found about forty percent were unhappy - with aspects of violence, cruelty, neglect and continuous disagreement. Some suggest Saudi men are unable to deal with a female population that's more educated and assertive.
